I loved reading this and learning more about the history of pink in art. I remember dearly my phase of wearing Nars Schiap lipstick. There was something fun about wearing a shocking pink like that. I was unfamiliar with Merit and am excited to try something from them.
When I first walk with my $10 of babysitting money to the drugstore when I was little I’d always buy all these shades of pink - it was the most eye catching and fabulous for a 12 year old - inspired by the teen vogues I’d read - it reminds me of such a specific time!

I also forgot to mention that my favorite natural pink is the hot pink that comes from the cochinilla bug, a source of natural dye in Mexico.
